Almost everyone who has a reliable source of iodine can safely eat soy without it causing thyroid problems. Most studies that have measured thyroid function and soy intake have found no problems.

@deviantStrait Like I said before, humans metabolize soy differently. That is why horses canmot be fed raw soy, or else they’d die. (Saw is a tryposin inhibitor). Studies like these mean nothing overall in relation to human health. Animal studies do not tell the whole story and are based on strong limitations.
Clinical studies show no effects of soy protein or isoflavones on reproductive hormones in men: results from meta analysis

@deviantStrait is linked to endocrine disruption, breast cancer, hormone imbalances, troubles with menopausal women, tissue proliferation, negatively Affecting the thyroid, low sperm count in men, etc. Phytoestrogens don’t always mimic estrogens. In some tissues they actually block the action of estrogen. In women phytoestrogens seem to be able to help women who have too much or too little estrogen by acting as precursor in the latter situation and by competing for binding sites in the former.

@deviantStrait will give successful conclusions/results. Equating studies of animal soy consumption and their health effects to studies of human soy consumption and their effects is misleading when it is clear soy is metabolized very differently in the human body than it does in animal bodies:
Gu L, House SE, et al. Metabolic phenotype of isoflavones differ among female rats, pigs, monkeys, and women. J Nutr. 2006; 136:1215-21.
There is no conclusive or convincing evidence soy consumption

@deviantStrait There is no convincing evidence to this day that soy consumption in HUMANS is linked to increase risk of thyroid disorders, lower testosterone or sperm count in men, lower libido, increase risk of breast cancer, etc.
Tofu, miso, annatto, and other soy-based foods are staple foods in Asia. A recent Japanese? survey showed that the average Japanese eats over 3 servings of soy a day. Do a quick search of soy/soya consumption on PubMed’s search engine. 90% of the human studies

@deviantStrait “Asians ferment soy removing the associated risks…”
The Chinese, Japanese, etc. don’t eat tofu and other non-fermented soy products from soymilk to soy burgers? Whatever propaganda and halftruths you’ve read or heard is unfounded. Stay off blogs.
In fact, soy infant formula is very popular in the US. American infants on soy formula drink more nonfermented soy than any other country! Soy formulas have been used since the 1900s in the US.
Popular Silk soy milk is nonfermented

I mean no anti-soy as it being a smear campaign as you presume. Since most soy & dairy is managed by the same corp. where’s the gain to trash soy if it was unfounded? Your implying there is NO risk whatsoever yet you do not consume GM…why so? Asians ferment soy removing the associated risks whereas in US, most isn’t. Your endorsing others to blindly wave any concern about soy when 90% is roundupGM. Unless your certain that unfermented GM soy is safe, STFU otherwise specify the difference

@johnny75803 Yes, the bees are being poisoned with Jesuit roundup spliced into the genetic matrix of GMO seeds. And so are we. Monsanto is Jesuit owned and operated along with other GMO mega-corporations trying to control our food. If they control the food, they can control the people. Read the books National Sunday Law and Secret History of the Jesuits.

@deviantStrait “There is no anti soy campaign since most of all soy & dairy is run by the same crporation. You have no idea who the enemy really is.”
You just watched at anti-soy video, you idiot. So how is there not any anti-soy campaigns, Einstein? There are many anti-soy novels out there illustrating soy’s supposed health dangers to humans. Books like this Kaayla Daniels’ ” The Whole Soy Story” are propaganda, misleading books. They’re, if any, paper weights.
& I don’t eat GMO soy

@johnny75803 Over 90% of all soy AND dairy production in the US is controlled by Monsanto corporation…..the same corporation responsible for the development of bovine hormones used in dairy production. The same corp. that developed Agent Orange used in Vietnam & Roundup weed killer. Many officials now working for the FDA once worked for Monsanto. There is no anti soy campaign since most of all soy & dairy is run by the same crporation. You have no idea who the enemy really is.

@sonofdracula if you think eating a food heavily sprayed with carcinogenic pesticides that’s been genetically modified to resist pesticides through BT implementation that’s been processed with hexane chemicals is healthy then…well…yeah…and uhh….if not then you need to research good luck in your quest for knowledge. i eat pepperoni pizza a lot and am healthy but i know its not good for me by any stretch

Most people are confused because they promote unfermented soy stating fake health benefits. Then later on down the line they find out all these things about it. Asians have been eating soy for many years but not unfermented soy, they have fermented soy products. Unfermented soy is GMO in other words created in a lab.

This just seems like a attempt to get people to consume more dairy products. There are more benefits with consuming soy milk than cows milk. They seem to completely forget that people who consume cows milk has a much greater chanse of developing diabetes, heart disease, stroke and so on. Lets assume that cows milk is as healthy as soy milk, soy milk is more enviormentaly friendly and takes fewer resources to produce than it takes to produce cows milk. Thus soy milk is a better choice.

This is… I don’t even know where to start. This is such a pathetic attempt at an attack on soy. I am a vegan, I am 14 years old, and eat soy probably every day in soymilk. I am also probably the healthiest person I know. Soy is TOTALLY bad for you. Everyone I know who eats meat or dairy have had all these diseases and problems I have never had. And no shit if all you eat is soy you are going to be in bad health, if all you eat is one thing, you are most likely to be in bad health. This is jus

meat and dairy industry are threatened by the competition and loss of business. they are in bed with the medical and ‘scientific’ institution. just don’t eat anything that has been genetically altered, and go for organic whenever possible. and think about how animals are fed genetically modified grains themselves!!
